وطنية - صدر عن قيادة الجيش- مديرية التوجيه البيان الآتي:
"فجر اليوم وفي محلة وادي الخشن- جرود عرسال، انفجرت إحدى النسفيات المفخخة أثناء قيام مجموعة مختصة من الجيش بتفكيكها، ما أدى إلى استشهاد أحد العسكريين وإصابة أربعة آخرين بجروح مختلفة".

State security arrested a Syrian for belonging to Daech

The State Security arrested one Syrian in Zahle, for belonging to "al-Bitar Group" that has sworn allegiance to Daesh.

During his interrogation, the detainee confessed to having participated in Daesh battles against the Lebanese army in Arsal.

Army intelligence arrested Daesh's security official in Lebanon, Syrian national Basil Abdel Qader, better known as "Falcon of Arsal", during the third day of offensive aiming at clearing Lebanese territory from Daech militants.

وطنية - بعلبك - افادت مندوبة "الوكالة الوطنية للاعلام" وسام درويش ان دورية من مديرية المخابرات في الجيش عثرت في وادي حميد - جرود شرق عرسال وفي المنطقة التي كانت تسيطر عليها المجموعات الارهابية من "جبهة النصرة" المندحرة، على مخزن اسلحة وذخائر وصواريخ وبكميات كبيرة. 

Landmine explosion in Arsal

Three Lebanese Army soldiers were killed and one critically wounded when a landmine destroyed their vehicle on the Dowar al-Najasa in the outskirts of Arsal. Two other soldiers were wounded in clashes with Daesh militants.

تقدمت وحدات الجيش صباح اليوم، في مناطق مراح الشيخ والعجرم ووادي حميد من ناحية جرود عرسال، وذلك في إطار مواصلة عملية إحكام الطوق وتضييق الخناق على مجموعات تنظيم داعش الإرهابي في جرود رأس بعلبك والقاع، وقد عثرت في منطقتي وادي حميد والعجرم خلال عملية التفتيش على كمية من الأحزمة الناسفة والعبوات والقذائف المفخخة، حيث عمل الخبير العسكري على تفجيرها، كما عثرت على جثة تعود لشخص مجهول". 

Army deployed units in Wadi Hmayed and al Malahi

Units of the Lebanese Armed Forces were deployed in Wadi Hmayed and al-Malahi and the heights surrounding the two regions, as a Free Syrian Army-linked group began the journey back to Syria.

The deployment aimed to cordon off Daesh terrorists present on the outskirts of al-Qaa and Ras Baalback, by taking control of the positions that were with Hezbollah after their offensive.

 

Army targeted Daech in northeast Lebanon

The Lebanese Army Friday carried out a series of artillery strikes on Daesh (ISIS) positions near the northeast border, near Arsal. 

An Army statement said that the military’s artillery strikes “scored a direct hit,” on a Daesh ammunition and weapons cache, destroying it.

Army arrested 8 suspects for links with Daech

The Lebanese Army arrested eight Syrian refugees on suspicion of links with Daech. The arrest took place during a raid on a farmhouse on the outskirts of Arsal. 

Lebanese arrested for connection with Daech

The Internal Security Forces  Information Branch arrested a Lebanese (born in 1991) on links with Daesh, in Wadi Khaled.

Following his interrogation, the arrestee was brought before the Military court.
