State Security arrested a suspect for belonging to terrorist organisation

The General Directorate of the State Security agency apprehended one Syria (Maamoun J.) in the Zahle town of Barr Elias for belonging to terrorist groups and fighting alongside al-Nusra Front. 

Army detonated explosive device near Arsal

The Lebanese Army discovered and detonated of an explosive device near the northeastern town of Arsal.
 
The explosive device was found in the Rahwa area in the outskirts of Arsal, in addition to an unspecified quantity of ammunition.
 
The ordnance was uncovered by a unit from the Army Corps of Engineers and the controlled explosion was carried out in situ.

The Lebanese Army found weapons in the outskirts of the northeastern town of Arsal on October 13. 
 
A statement from the Army reported that five 23mm caliber military grade weapons, four Malyutka anti-tank guided missile and another unknown type of missile were uncovered in the Wadi Hmeid area.

Primed rockets found by Army in Arsal

The Lebanese Army found ten rockets, one of which weighed 100 kilograms, near the outskirts of northeast Lebanon’s Arsal.
 
The 100 kg rocket was manufactured locally and was ready to be fired.

Bodyguard of a Nusra's commander arrested

State Security arrested a suspect who reportedly fought with Jabhat Fatah al-Sham terrorist in east Lebanon.

The suspect, identified as Hasan Q., was arrested in Baalbeck’s Hawsh al-Nabi on charges of belonging to the group and fighting against the Army in the northeastern town of Arsal. He was the personal bodyguard of Anas Sharkas, known as Abu Ali al-Shishani, one of the Nusra Front’s commanders.

State Security arrested a suspect on terrorist charges

State Security arrested a Lebanese national on suspicion of belonging to a terror group.
 
However, it didn’t identify which terror group the man was suspected of joining.
 
The statement, named as Ali Hussein al-Hujeiri was born in Arsal in 1978 and was arrested on October 7.
 
He faced additional charges of fighting with terrorist organizations and carrying out acts of terrorism.

Army arrests IS official in Arsal

On 5 Oct 2017, the Army arrested in the northeastern border town of Arsal early an Islamic State official who has taken part in kidnapping and killing of military members and civilians. The detainee is said to be involved in the kidnapping and killing of soldiers and civilian.
