A suicide bomber blew himself up with an explosive belt as an Army patrol was inspecting the Nawar camp for Syrian refugees in Arsal, according to the statement. “He blew himself up ... in front of one of the raiding patrols, leaving [the bomber] dead and leaving three soldiers lightly wounded,” the Army said.

Man suspected of killing army soldier arrested

A man suspected of killing a Lebanese Army soldier during 2014 clashes on Lebanon's northeaster border was arrested, local media reported.

Syrian national A.Kh.D. was arrested by Army Intelligence in Arsal and is suspected of killing old 40-year-old Lt. Col. Noureddine Jamal during clashes in Arsal.

Militants belonging to Daesh (ISIS) and Jabhat Fatah al-Sham – previously known as the Nusra Front – are holed up in Arsal's outskirts. The Army targets the militant’s hideouts in Arsal as well as in Ras Baalbeck on a nearly daily basis.

Army pursues raids on Syrian refugee camps in Arsal

The Lebanese Army was pursuing its raid operations on Syrian refugee camps in Arsal. The raids have resulted so far in the arrest of a number of suspects who have contacts with gunmen located in Arsal outskirts, NNA field reporter said.

افاد مراسل "النشرة" في البقاع عن "تعرض السوري ابو طه المكلف بالمفاوضات بين النازحين السوريين فيعرسالوالنظام السوري وحزب الله لعودة النازحين الى قراهم في قرى القلمون الى اطلاق نار من قبل مجموعة ابو مالك التلة زعيم جبهة النصرة في جرد عرسال ولَم يَصْب ابو طه بأذى".

يذكر أن "ابو طه كان في عسال الورد  في القلمون وقد حضر اليوم لتسهيل عودة حوالي خمسمائة عائلة خلال الايام القادمة".
