LAF arrested a terrorist leading a terrorist group

On 07 Mar 15, at 1213hrs, media reported that LAF arrested a Syrian national (Hassan Mohamad Jamil Harba) who is leading a terrorist group. The report added that the group attacked previously LAF posts (assault against an army checkpoint in Arsal's Wadi al-Hosn region). Harba succeeded in placing an explosive and detonating it on al-Masyada road. Another explosive was placed near the Hariri clinic in Arsal, but a military expert managed to dismantle it. The suspect planted another explosive on the Wadi Ata road in Arsal, but it failed to detonate.

On 05 Mar 15, at 1029hrs, in Arsal, unidentified persons on a motorbike tossed a hand grenade near al-Mustaqbal Movement offices in Arsal. No damages were reported.

Army reaches Wadi Hmayed

The Lebanese army today widened the scope of targeting gunmen in Anti-Lebanon region in the outskirts of Arsal, and reached Wadi Hmayed, National News Agency correspondent reported on Tuesday.

Engagement developed in Wadi Hmayed, with heavy artillery and missiles being reportedly used killing and wounding a number of gunmen.

A Lebanese army unit raided Sunday mills and stone quarries facing the location of Wadi al-Hosn in Ersal outskirts, demolishing fortifications that have been set up by armed terrorist groups, inside which drug quantities, injection needles, military equipment and amounts of money were found and handed-over to the concerned authorities, an Army Guidance Directorate communiqué indicated.
