On 25 Mar 15, Syrian planes conducted 2 raids on Aajram & Wadi El Khayl areas in the outskirts of Arsal-North Bekaa. Injuries were reported among the armed elements in Wadi El Khayl area.

Army intelligence arrests dangerous fugitives on terror links

On 24 Mar 15, the army intelligence detained two dangerous suspects charged with belonging to a terrorist organization and assaulting the military. Omar Miqati, who is also known as Abi Huraira, and Bilal Miqati (the Lebanese Abou Omar and Abou Omar al-Trabulsi) have been arrested earlier in the day. They are both charged with belonging to a terrorist group and attacking troops. One of them is also involved in the slaughtering of a Lebanese soldier, who was abducted by jihadists in the northeastern border town of Aarsal in August, the military said in its statement.

Kidnappers of Aarsal resident ask for ransom

On 23 Mar 15, the kidnappers of a Lebanese resident of the northeastern border town of Aarsal have asked for a $200,000 ransom, his father claimed.

On 18 Mar 15, two (2) Syrian gunmen in a white KIA vehicle shot to death a Lebanese national (Ali Ezzeddine, aka Ali Badriyeh) outside his house in Arsal. Later on, at 2021hrs, members of Ezzeddine's family killed senior Islamic State official Abu Omar al-Tartousi in retaliation.

Army thwarts infiltration at Wadi Hmayyid checkpoint

The Lebanese army foiled an infiltration attempt at Wadi Hmayyid checkpoint in Arsal, with a number of killed and injured incurred in the ranks of the insurgents, NNA correspondent in Baalbeck reported on Monday.

Armed men kidnap citizen in Arsal

On 11 Mar 15, in Arsal, a group of armed men kidnapped Lebanese national, Zaher Hussein Rayed, from Ajram region of Wadi Hmayed, and then fled towards an unknown destination.

Shots fired towards LAF in Arsal outskirts

On 10 Mar 15, in the early morning, shots were fired towards the Lebanese Armed Forces post in Akabat Al-Jurd area in the outskirts of Arsal-North Bekaa. The LAF then responded to the source of the shooting.
