They are both charged with belonging to a terrorist group and attacking troops. One of them is also involved in the slaughtering of a Lebanese soldier, who was abducted by jihadists in the northeastern border town of Aarsal in August, the military said in its statement. An investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent judicial authority. Bilal Miqati is reportedly suspected of the beheading at least one of the Lebanese soldiers held captive on the outskirts of Aarsal.
