On 18 May 15, Lebanese army targeted movements and locations of armed elements in Wadi Rafek in the outskirts of Aarsal using heavy and medium weapons and flares to detect suspicious movements after the infiltration of militants and targeting LAF posts.

Army inflicts casualties in militant ranks in Aarsal

On 17 May 15, the Lebanese Army inflicted casualties in the ranks of militants using artillery and rocket weapons in Msaydah and Daher Jabal in the outskirts of Aarsal. Media allegedly reported that the dead and injured militants were all transported to a field hospitals in the region of Al-Malahi in Aarsal.

Prominent ISIL member arrested in Northern Bekaa

On 16 May 15, in Ain al-Shaab (Between the towns of Al-Labweh and Arsal), the Lebanese Army Forces (LAF) arrested a prominent member of the Islamic State group while he was trying to flee the region to the North. The 21 years old detainee, known as Abdul Rahman al-Bazerbashi is the grandson of al-Baghdadi. He took part in clashes against the army in the northern city of Tripoli and northeastern border town of Arsal.

Gunmen seized 1,500 liters of petrol station in Aarsal

On 13 May 15, unidentified gunmen stole 1,500 liters of gasoline from Wadi Al Arnab station on the road to the Wadi Al Raayan in Aarsal, after they tied up the worker. Also Unidentified persons intercepted a woman in the outskirts of Aarsal, and stabbed her with knives then stole a sum of money.
