Army and Hizbollah tightening Noose of gunmen on Aarsal's outskirts

Media allegedly reported that after the Lebanese army succeeded in thwarting six gunmen from entering Lebanon through the northeastern border town of Aarsal, killing two, while the rest escaped Hizbullah stopped an armed group from infiltrating Lebanese territories from an area between al-Alali and al-Abyad mountains in the eastern mountain range. The army frequently shells the positions of gunmen situated on the porous Lebanese-Syrian border, halting their advancement towards Lebanese territory.

Arresting 6 Syrians in Labweh, 6 others involved in Qobbeh dispute

NNA - The Lebanese Army Command on Tuesday issued a statement saying that the army detained five Syrians in Labweh for being suspected as belonging to terrorist organizations and a sixth one for being involved in a terrorist attack against the army.
The army also arrested other six individuals for being involved in a dispute in Qobbeh.

NNA - NNA field reporter in Baalbak on Tuesday said that the Lebanese military detained today afternoon six Syrians at Ain Al Shaab checkpoint for being suspected as belonging to terrorist groups.

Families of military hostages worried, family of Mohammad Youssef blocks road in Rashayya

NNA - The families of the military hostages on Monday expressed fear regarding their sons who are kidnapped by Daash, after the social media videos that were released over weekend to show Roumieh inmates beaten and humiliated by the security forces.

After receiving menaces from Daash in this regard, the family of the hostage Mohammad Youssef resorted to block the road in Dahr Al Ahmar - Rashayya at 15:30.

The families burned tires and asked concerned officials to conduct serious negotiations with the kidnappers.

Mohammad Kassem Hujairi released after being kidnapped in Arsal

Hezbollah attacked ISIL in the outskirts of Arsal

Hezbollah attacked ISIL armed elements in Kherbet Hamam region (Outskirts of Arsal). An Islamic State official known as Abu Aisha al-Libi and six (6) other ISIL fighters were allegedly killed. ISIL members were reportedly plotting to launch an assault on the outskirts of Ras Baalbek. Hezbollah also destroyed two (2) ISIL military vehicles.

Army: Three Syrians arrested for suspicions of belonging to terrorist groups

NNA - The Lebanese army today arrested three Syrians, Mohammad Kamel Rouq, Haeb Hussein Hussein Haidar, and Anas Hassan al-Masri, in Labwe and Hrebta in Bekaa, for suspicions of belonging to terrorist organizations, a communiqué by the army command indicated on Monday.

Clashes in the outskirts of Arsal

In the outskirts of Arsal, clashes erupted between Hezbollah fighters and ISIL. Shelling was reported in the area and the Emir of ISIL in Qalamoun (Abu Balqis al-Baghdadi) was allegedly killed.

Hostages Families Block North Highway as Details Emerge on Prisoner Exchange

Families of Lebanese servicemen taken hostage by the Islamic State group blocked the vital highway between Tripoli and Beirut on Tuesday, amid reports that negotiations with the al-Qaida-linked al-Nusra Front have nearly settled on releasing several troops in a prisoner exchange.

The families blocked the key highway in both directions in the al-Qalamoun area, just outside Tripoli, declaring that the road would remain closed until 8:00 pm.

Security forces meanwhile diverted traffic to the seaside road.

LAF arrest Syrian Nationals on terror charges & illegal entry to Lebanon

The Lebanese Armed Forces arrested several Syrian Nationals in the eastern Bekaa region on terrorism charges. LAF intelligence agents arrested a group comprising 4 Syrians in Jib Janine and Kamid el-Loz in western Bekaa. Earlier in the day, the military said it detained Mohammed Kamel Roq, Haeb Hussein Haider, and Anas Hassan al-Masri on suspicion of belonging to armed groups.
