Media allegedly reported that after the Lebanese army succeeded in thwarting six gunmen from entering Lebanon through the northeastern border town of Aarsal, killing two, while the rest escaped Hizbullah stopped an armed group from infiltrating Lebanese territories from an area between al-Alali and al-Abyad mountains in the eastern mountain range. The army frequently shells the positions of gunmen situated on the porous Lebanese-Syrian border, halting their advancement towards Lebanese territory.
