On 16 Oct 15, in Saida, a personal dispute between paramedics from the Red Cross and an unidentified person who threatened the paramedics with his assault weapon. Then , he went to his vehicle, took a bat and sabotaged their ambulance then fled the scene. ISF started investigations and began prosecuting the aggressor.

A four-year-old girl and her father died by electrocution Tuesday while they were swimming in a pool in south Lebanon, a security source said. Khalil Ibrahim, 35, and his daughter, Arwa, who lived in the Burj al-Shemali Palestinian refugee camp near Tyre, were swimming in a plastic pool when an electricity cable on the floor made contact with the water. They were rushed to a hospital in the are where they were declared dead.

A woman from Tyre was admitted to hospital with severe burns Friday.

Foul play is suspected, and her husband, who also suffered minor burns, is the prime suspect.

Marie Antoinette Fakhoury, 27, was rushed to hospital with burns that her husband said resulted from an accident as she “was cleaning her body with alcohol after a bath.” Neighbors dismissed the story as a fabrication.

After receiving emergency treatment at a hospital in Tyre, Fakhoury was transferred to Jeitawi Hospital in Beirut. She remains in critical condition. Police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine whether the husband intentionally caused the blaze.

His testimony to interrogators was unconvincing, according to a security source, and he will remain in custody while police conduct a preliminary probe. Fakhoury’s husband belongs to the Kanaan family, from the coastal city of Byblos. He married Fakhoury two years ago against the will of her mother, according to neighbors, and was blamed for an ongoing dispute between the two.

The Israeli army was launching flare bombs over the border region in the West Sector and over the sea from Naqoura till al-Qassemiya, National News Agency correspondent reported on Wednesday.

The western sector, from Naqoura to Qasimiyah, is currently witnessing Israeli warplanes aviation at medium altitude with thermal balloons being dumped over the said area, as reported by the NNA correspondent.

Unidentified persons at Bissarieh village in Tyre district burned 2 unregistered BART motorcycles owned by the Syrians Mahmoud F.(born in 1983) and Bassil B.(born in 1994) and damaged other 4 motorcycles owned by the said Syrian's parents.
Interior Security Forces attended the place and started investigations in an attempt to know the responsible persons.

A UNIFIL French contingent jeep overturned on Bayssarieh-Sarafand, due to a problem in the rear wheel, leaving four peacekeepers wounded.
The wounded, two of them seriously injured, were taken to Sidon hospitals for treatment.

Instantly, an army patrol rushed to said scene, and UNIFIL opened a probe into incident.

March 4, 1985: In Sour, 11 people were killed and at least 28 wounded by a bomb (75 kilograms of TNT) placed in an office where a meeting was under way with of Amal leaders.

A clash took place on Friday in Tyre in a camp for Syrian refugees causing the injury of thirty persons.
Offenders were using sticks as weapons.
When the civil defense members interfered to transport the wounded to a hospital, some of the refugees attacked them and beat them causing the injury of two members.

The Syrian national Manal Abdel Kader Sheikho (born 1969) was found dead Saturday morning on Tyre southern coast facing "Shawatina" restaurant, National News Agency correspondent in Tyre, Jamal Khalil, reported.
The field reporter added that a Civil Defense vehicle transferred the body to Jabal Aamel hospital.

Four EDL contract workers were arrested on Monday by the Internal Security Forces (ISF) due to a scuffle which broke out between both sides. The ISF tried to open the door of EDL company's premises in Tyre after it had been sealed off by the protesting workers. Army Command Guidance Directorate issued the following communiqué: "On Monday at 12:30 p.m., an Israeli drone violated Lebanese airspace from above Kfarkilla village, executed circular flight over Rachaya, Hasbaya, Merjeouyoun, Bint Jbeil and Tyre regions; and then left at 10:10 p.m. from above Rmeish village."

Meanwhile, the Israel military sustained its deadly air raids, leading to a full-fledged military operation. Between November 9 and 11, 1977, in response to rockets launched from South Lebanon, the Israeli Army carried out an air and sea attack of the Lebanese coast, in particular Sour, and destroyed the village of Azziyeh. It also heavily bombed the town of Nabatieh and the villages of Yarin and Khiyam. More than 100 civilians were killed.

The Shi’a community in South Lebanon was becoming increasingly unhappy about the protracted war between the Israelis and PLO militias with their Lebanese allies, because the Shi’a were bearing the brunt of it. As of the summer of 1976, there had been some short-lived clashes between Amal members and the PLO already. In parallel, the Joint Forces were also fighting against Christian militias based in the areas of Marjeyoun and Khiyam. These were also known as border militias. The Israeli Army supported them, transporting by sea some of their members from the center of the country to the south and by way of artillery shelling.

Moreover, the regions in and around Saida and Sour were in the grip of the fighting between the Joint Forces and their allies on the one hand, and the Syrian Army and the Lebanese Front militias on the other hand.

The Syrian Marine force was blocking the civilian ports of Tripoli, Saida, and Sour.
