Four EDL contract workers were arrested on Monday by the Internal Security Forces (ISF) due to a scuffle which broke out between both sides. The ISF tried to open the door of EDL company's premises in Tyre after it had been sealed off by the protesting workers. EDL contract workers escalated their moves by cutting off roads with burning tires. One EDL contract worker threatened to set himself on fire in Cornish el Naher at EDL's headquarters in solidarity with his two detained colleagues in Tyre in case they were not released. The ISF released two workers later on in the day.
