The Lebanese Army Command's Guidance Directorate on Thursday issued a communique saying that at 11:30 am as the army was pursuing in Maaraka in Tyre the individual Fawzi Fawzi Shahrour, wanted for criminal deeds, Shahrour fired against the army that countered him and caused him a fatal injury. Shahrour was taken to Jabal Amel hospital but passed away due to the serious wounds. Eight other individuals who were in his company have also been detained by the army and referred to the authority for investigations.
