Kidnapped soldier relatives protest in Beit Eddine

The relatives of the kidnapped soldier, Seif Zoubian, protested on Monday at Beit Eddine roundabout, in Baakline, calling for the conclusion of the kidnapped soldiers' dossier.

The protesters blocked the road with burning tires.

LAF raids apartments in Arsal, arrests 5 Syrians

The Lebanese Armed Forces raided on Sunday residential apartments in the region of Rass Sarj in Arsal and apprehended five Syrian nationals.
The detainees were referred to judicial authorities.

Military hostages' families block Saifi road

The families of military hostages, who are currently staging a sit-in outside the Grand Serail, decided to postpone their planned escalation today.

"However, some refused the postponement decision and young people headed towards the entrance of the Grand Serail and decided to burn tires. Altercations occurred between family members, and the ISF duly brought reinforcements to Riad Square el-Solh,".

Syrians held hostage by Lebanese families escape

Seventeen Syrians in east Lebanon escaped from a garage they were being held in by relatives of captured soldiers, a security source told The Daily Star Tuesday. The Syrians were taken hostage by people who claimed to be families of soldiers captured by ISIS and the Nusra Front during last month's clashes with the Lebanese Army, said the source, speaking on condition of anonymity. They stayed overnight in a garage in the village of Shmustar and were able to break the door and escape. Media reports said the families held the Syrians to exchange them for the captured soldiers.

Families of detainees in Syria closed Kharab elHayat road

The families of the three detainees Mohammad Hussein Ahmad, the soldier Mohammad Khaled Asaad and Imad Mohammad Asaad from Wadi Khaled region--prisoned in the Syrian prisons-- cut off Kharab elHayat village main road at Wadi Khaled entrance.
The field reporter added that the families reiterated calls to Major General Abbas Ibrahim to follow up on this issue and work to release their sons, pointing that they would escalate moves to meet their demand.

More families join sit-in after father of soldier Mohammad Youssef receives call from ISIS: 3 days left before you lose your children

A large group of families of the abducted soldiers joined the sit-in at Riad Solh Square and a third tent was set up.
He pointed out that the father of soldier Hussein Youssef had received a call from one of the elements of ISIS who told him "3 days are left before you lose your children, and we will be contacting all the parents to tell them so."

Families of detained persons in Syria join AlAhmed family sit-in

The family of Mohammad Hussein Al-Ahmad --detained in Syria--, closed the road in Wadi Khaled region in Akkar at the entrance of the border Boukaiaa village by burning tires.
Mohammad's mother called upon the General Security Chief, Major- General Abbas Ibrahim, to work to release her son, especially that they had information that he is at one of the security stations in Syria.
