Two martyrs, three wounded as bomb goes off in Arsal

Two Lebanese army soldiers got killed and three were injured around noon in the Bekaa town of Arsal as a bomb exploded while a military vehicle was passing by, a communiqué by the army command indicated on Friday.

Ali Bazzal's family blocks Nothern Bekaa highway in protest

Family members of the abducted army soldier Ali Bazzal, reportedly blocked the international highway to traffic between Nothern Bekaa and Homs in both directions to protest continued kidnapping of their son. The protesters installed tents in the middle of the road to ensure traffic coming to a standstill.

Suspected militants attack quarries outside Lebanon's Arsal, steal bulldozers

Suspected Nusra Front and ISIS militants attacked several stone quarries near Arsal’s hills Friday, destroying equipment and stealing bulldozers.
While several media outlets said the attacks were carried out by fighters with the Nusra Front, Lebanon's National News Agency reported that militants from both the Nusra Front and ISIS had raided the three quarries - belonging to Mohammad Alouli, Melhem Hujeiri and Hani Hujeiri - destroying machines and driving back to the hills with several stolen bulldozers.

Arsal locals stage sit-in against Marwan Houjairi's kidnapping

Arsal Locals on Thursday staged a sit-in at the town's square against the backdrop of the kidnapping of Marwan al Houjairi.
Al Houjairi went missing during the sit-ins and roads blocking that took place in the wake of the beheading of army soldier Abbas Medlej.

Young men block Chweifat road to express solidarity with army

NNA field reporter on Monday said that a group of young people cut off the road in Chweifat, near Ghandour factory, with burned tires and barrels as a means to express solidarity with the Lebanese Army that tried to open the road.

Jdita-Shtoura highway, has been blocked to traffic in protest against continued kidnapping of army soldiers by gunmen.
A number of cars parked in the middle blocked traffic in both directions.

Choueifat Road blocked in both directions in solidarity with Army

Traffic operations control chamber reported Sunday evening that a number of young men ventured into cutting-off Choueifat Road in both directions, in solidarity with the Lebanese Army.
