On 29 Jan 16, in Aarsal, unidentified person tossed a hand grenade at the side of the road. No injuries reported.

Clashes erupt between Nusra, Daesh in Arsal outskirts

A new round of severe clashes has erupted between Nusra Front and Daesh militants since noon, and still continues in Arsal outskirts, NNA field reporter said on Friday, adding that the clashes extended to reach different parts of the region. Many casualties have fallen on both sides of the clash, NNA reporter added, noting that the clashes have rattled Arsal residents.

The Lebanese army this evening targeted a vehicle belonging to al-Nusra Front in Wadi al-Khayl in Arsal outskirts, killing and injuring gunmen inside it, National News Agency correspondent reported on Thursday.

The Lebanese Army on Monday foiled an infiltration attempt by a number of terrorist gunmen in Arsal outskirts, NNA field reporter said on Monday. Severe clashes rocked the region between the army and gunmen till dawn on Monday, but the army managed to score a number of injuries in the gunmen ranks.
