Army kills Daesh militants outside Arsal

BEIRUT: The Lebanese Army killed three Daesh (ISIS) militants in an attack that destroyed their vehicle near the country’s northeastern border, the state-run National news Agency reported. The NNA reported that the missile strike targeted a vehicle loaded with shells and missiles on the outskirts of Arsal. The news comes a day after the Hezbollah-affiliated War Media Center reported that the Army had destroyed another Daesh vehicle using an anti-tank missile near the town of Ras Baalbeck.

The Lebanese army foiled on night a smuggling operation of a Syrian in Arsal, NNA field reporter said. In details, a Lebanese was apprehended on while he was carrying out the smuggling operation in Arsal. The detainees were handed over to the concerned authorities.

Citizen arrested for smuggling food to terrorist groups in Arsal

NNA - Army units arrested at dawn the citizen, Mohammed Hassan Audeh, at "Wadi Hmayid" Checkpoint in Arsal as he was driving a truck loaded with stones, hidden underneath of which were large amounts of food, as he tried to smuggle them to terrorist groups in the barren mountains of Arsal region, an Army communiqué indicated.
The arrested citizen was handed-over to the concerned authorities for further investigation and necessary measures. 

Daesh security official killed in Arsal

NNA - A Daesh security official, Syrian national Abou Adham Al-Jawash, was found dead in Arsal, NNA field reporter said. His corps was found earlier during the day with a number of gunshots, NNA field reporter added, noting that three armed men had been seen opening fire on the deceased and then fleeing the crime scene. The corps was later transferred to Al-Rahma Hospital of Arsal.

Daesh militant killed near northeast Lebanon border

BEIRUT/BAALBECK, Lebanon: A Daesh (ISIS) militant was killed Tuesday in an ambush on the outskirts of the northeastern border town of Arsal, a security source told The Daily Star.

It remains unclear how the Daesh member was killed. However, local media reported that he had died in a bomb explosion.

LBCI identified him as Syrian Ahmad Al-Abed.

Abdul Hakim Amoun arrested over affiliation to Daesh

The Lebanese Army Intelligence arrested Lebanese national, Abdul Hakim Amoun, over affiliation to Daesh, NNA field reporter said, adding that the arrest of Amoun came after he fell for an army ambush in the outskirts of Arsal.

Clashes between Nusra Front, Dassh in Arsal outskirts, casualties inflicted

Heavy clashes are taking place between "Nusra Front" and "Daash", using medium and rocket propelled weapons in al-Malahi and al-Ajram localities in the outskirts of Arsal, with casualties reported in both ranks, NNA reporter said.
