نفّذ عدد من أهالي ضحايا مرفأ بيروت وقفة تضامنية أمام البوابة رقم 9 من المرفأ، عصر اليوم، احتجاجاً على ما وصفوه بـ"الصمت وعدم تحرّك المسؤولين المعنيين بإخماد الحريق الذي يلتهم الأهراءات منذ حوالي الأسبوع ويُهدّد بانهيار المبنى". كما اعتبر الأهالي أنّ هذا الحريق يهدّد بـ"إزالة جريمة 4 آب البشعة من الوجدان والذاكرة وللحد من الضرر على أبناء المنطقة من الدخان المنبعث من الحريق".

Activists held a sit-in at the Beirut Justice Palace Thursday to protest “repeated crimes against children and marginalized communities,” Al-Jadeed television reported. The protest comes days after a former Lebanese Army soldier was arrested on suspicion of molesting multiple children, a case that was transferred to the investigating judge in the Bekaa. Among those attending the protest were MPs Paula Yaacoubian, Najat Aoun and Cynthia Zarazir, along with performer Maya Diab.
