قطع الاهالي طريق المنصورية بالاتجاهين بسبب الفلتان الامني الحاصل، وعلى خلفية اشكال وقع مع عدد من النازحين السوريين. وكان قد وقع اشكال في وقت سابق اليوم مع نازحين سوريين عملوا على التعليق بشكل غير شرعي على الكهرباءن ما ادى الى وقوع اشكال مع الاهالي، وبعدها تهجم عدد كبير من السوريين على شباب المنطقة، وقد تطور الاشكال الى اطلاق نار. واثر توقيف عدد من الشبان على خلفية الحادثة، تظاهر ابناء المنطقة للمطالبة بضبط الوضع الامني والافراج عن شباب المنصورية بعد اظهار التحقيق براءتهم.

A march organized by a group of families of the victims of the Beirut port explosion alongside activists took place to commemorate the two-year anniversary of the August 4, 2020 blast and to demand justice for the victims. The march started at the Beirut Justice Palace at 3 p.m. and passed by the French Embassy, where they denounced what they said is France’s unwillingness to support an international fact-finding mission into the circumstances of the explosion, and Samir Kassir Square before ending at the Statue of the Emigrant facing the Beirut Port.

ورفع المحتجون صورا لرمال وقبيسي وأخرى لأحمد سامي قانصو وابنه حسين كتب عليها " الاعدام لكما" ، كما رفعوا لافتات تطالب القضاء بإحقاق الحق وانزال عقوبة الاعدام بالمجرمين.

وطنية - النبطية - نظمت بلدية جبشيت اعتصاما  احتجاجا على ما اعتبرته "تقاعس الدولة عن التواصل مع السلطات الاماراتية لكشف مصير عضو مجلس بلدية جبشيت حسين علي نحال وولده محمد والإفراج عنهما سريعا"، وهما أوقفا في 10 حزيران الماضي في مطار دبي من السلطات الاماراتية، ولم يعرف مصيرهما حتى اليوم ولا أسباب توقيفهما.

Family members of the port blast victims gathered outside of the Parliament session to protest the formation of the Supreme Council, which they characterized as a maneuver by officials targeted by the port blast investigation to evade accountability via the judiciary, and which make them fear potential displacement of the probe – which has been suspended following complaints against prosecutor Judge Tarek Bitar filed by MPs and former ministers named in the investigation – from the judiciary to the Supreme Council.

Opposition MPs and relatives of the victims of the Aug. 4, 2020 Beirut port blast on Sunday held a sit-in near the Beirut port to protest government inaction to quell weekslong fires at the port’s grain silos. MP Najat Aoun Saliba denounced the measures undertaken by the government as “disappointing” and called for an urgent meeting grouping “the concerned ministers, the Civil Defense and the army” along with a plan to stop the fires blazing at the port grain silos since early July and “inform the Lebanese of the truth.

Spokesperson for the families of blast victims William Noun called for “widespread attendance” to the commemorative march on Aug. 4, noting that this year there would be no prayer or entry into the port. Noun said the families of the victims intend to visit Higher Judicial Council head Suhail Abboud to discuss a potential solution “maybe before Aug.

The head of the Director General of the Tender Board at the Central Inspection Board, Jean Ellieh, appeared at the Justice Palace in Beirut on Tuesday morning after being summoned by the general prosecutor’s office at the Court of Cassation for criticizing the State Shura Council.
