On 16 July 16, LAF (Lebanese Army Forces) arrested a group of persons in Zahle involved in fighting against LAF soldiers in the outskirts of Aarsal.

NNA - Lebanese Army soldiers renewed their bombardment of "Nusra Front" militants in the outskirts of eastern Arsal, Wadi Kheil and Khirbet Younine, using heavy artillery and rocket weapons, destroying a number of military vehicles and inflicting casualties among gunmen, NNA correspondent in Baalbek reported

LAF hits hard at militants in Arsal outskirts

NNA - The Lebanese Armed Forces pounded on Sunday with heavy artillery Al Nusra Front militants in eastern Arsal. 

The LAF monitored suspicious movements of said militants between eastern Arsal, Wadi Al Khayl and Khirbet Youneen and was able to destroy military vehicles carrying heavy weaponry. 

Flames could be seen coming out of one of the militants' vehicles and a number of wounded reported among the fighters. 

Hostages' families stage sit in in front of Casino

NA - The families of the Lebanese hostages held by Daesh staged a sit in in front of Casino du Liban, in Maameltein, to protest against the "official negligence" in this file, NNA correspondent reported. 

Youssef Hussein, father of soldier Mohammad Youssef, said that relatives of soldiers were tired "of hearing the leaders say they have no information about the hostages." 

"Today we protest against the neglect in this issue. Our efforts have always been peaceful, but if this continues we will escalate," he warned.

General Security raids terrorist hotbed in Wadi Ata, seizes explosive belt

NNA - The Directorate General of General Security raided on Thursday with the army a terrorist hotbed in Arsal's Wadi Ata according to the confessions of detained terrorists and as part of its security activity. 
It discovered an explosive belt, weapons, and war ammunitions. 
The Directorate seized the objects and is following up the issue to arrest the remaining members of the terrorist cell. 

Army bombs militant car travelling on outskirts of Aarsal and Ras Baalbek

NNA - The Lebanese army bombed today a suspicious car with gunmen inside, as it moved between Arsal outskirts and Ras Baalback today, leaving it completely ablaze, National News Agency correspondent reported on Thursday. 

ISIS, Nusra Arsal fight leaves many dead, injured

NNA - Fierce battles took place tonight between terrorist ISIS and al-Nusra Front in Arsal outskirts, leaving a number of dead and injured from both sides, National News Agency correspondent reported on Thursday. 
Among the dead, ISIS commanders Abu Sahib, Abu Abdel Rahman Askari, and Abu Abdo Assali were identified. 
From al-Nusra, "al-Muntaser Companion" leader, and two other commanders were killed.
