On 26 Aug 16, Hizbullah bombed posts of al-Nusra Front in the outskirts of the northeastern border town of Arsal, destroying several barricades. Several were reported killed and wounded.

NNA - Internal Security Forces' Information personnel arrested in Lawbe town today Syrian Mehieddine al-Jarban, the uncle of ISIS Emir in Arsal and its outskirts, for connection to and funding of terrorist groups, National News Agency correspondent reported on Wednesday.

On 21 Aug 16, media reported that Hizbullah bombed gatherings of armed elements on the heights of Qornet al-Qanzah in the outskirts of the northeastern border town of Aarsal.

Army: Bomb explosion near military vehicle in Arsal, five injured

NNA - A communique by the Lebanese Army Command said that around 11:20 a.m on Monday, a military vehicle was targeted by a bomb placed on a road in the vicinity of the town of Arsal. 

The communique added that the weight of the remote-controlled bomb was approximately 3kg, noting that five soldiers were wounded in the blast.
