Protest by Civil Movements at Beirut Airport: For aviation safety remove landfill

 Civil activists of "You Stink" Campaign and other Civil Movements gathered at Rafik Hariri International Airport on evening, in protest against "the way of dealing with the birds threatening the safety of civil aviation crisis," NNA correspondent at Beirut Airport reported.


Civil activist Lucien Abu Rjeily called for "the removal of the main reason for this crisis, namely the Costa Brava Landfill." 

Families of kidnapped soldiers stage sit-in in Doures

Families of the kidnapped soldiers staged a sit-in in Doures, and disrupted traffic in both ways, NNA field reporters said.

Protesters brandished slogans and banners in support of the Lebanese military and called for their release regardless of their confessional belonging, reporters added.

Speaking at the behest of the protesters, Tarayya municipal head Mahdi Hamiyeh, highly commended the Body of Moslem Scholars for their mediation efforts with the terrorists and pleaded with people of Ersal to release the soldiers.
