Road blocks and strikes in Tripoli and Sidon due to the increase exchange rate

Road-blocking and strikes continued Saturday [June 26] in Tripoli and Sidon as the Lebanese pound plummeted to unprecedented lows. Several shop owners closed their businesses in protest of the economic situation and the surge in the dollar exchange rate, citing the daily losses they incurring as a result of the sharp decline in the value of the national currency.
