Gathering in support of FPM

Supporters of the "Free Patriotic Movement" gathered on the main street in Batroun, declaring their solidarity with FPM Chief, Minister Gebran Bassil, raising the Lebanese and FPM flags, as national songs played in the background, NNA correspondent in Batroun reported.

Hezbollah supporters convoys roam the street in Beirut and South Lebanon

Following the speech by Hezbollah Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah this evening, a convoy roamed the streets of Beirut, Hermel, Nabatieh, Zahrani and Sour in support of Sayyed Nasrallah's speech, NNA correspondent reported on Friday.

Supporters of the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) have gathered outside the Judiciary Center in Jbeil, in support of President Michel Aoun and the laws forwarded by the "Strong Lebanon" bloc, NNA correspondent reported on Friday.

FPM supporters rally to defend Aoun

Free Patriotic Movement supporters gathered Thursday morning outside the Baabda Justice Palace in defense of President Michel Aoun.

Dozens chanted, “All of them,” which is a slogan regularly used by protesters against the Lebanese political class – Aoun included.

“We want to hold accountable those who are corrupt. But there remain clean hands, such as those of Michel Aoun,” one protester said. Many carried pictures of Aoun and said the president was a “red line” that cannot be crossed.

Hezbollah hold counter protest in Nabatieh

The Lebanese Army intervened to separate protesters and supporters of Hezbollah who were holding a counter-protest at the site.

Sabaa Party activists storm Parliament

Activists stormed Lebanon’s Parliament building Friday to protest corruption and the country’s deteriorating economic situation.Forty activists fromSabaa political party , wearing T-shirts bearing the slogan “Civil Resistance” were able to enter Parliament’s General Assembly hall. Riot police and the Internal Security Forces arrived on the scene and arrested 10 protesters. Friday’s action was only the first phase of a planned series of “civil resistance” protests, calling on “all people” to join the party in its future demonstrations.

Communist Party protests economic situation

Dozens of members of the Lebanese Communist Party held a demonstration beginning outside the Association of Banks in Lebanon Sunday to protest the country’s deteriorating economic situation. Having begun at ABL's headquarters at the entrance to Beirut's Gemmayze district, the protesters marched to Riad al-Solh Square and then to the Lebanese Central Bank. Riot police and Lebanese Army soldiers deployed to the protest and formed a line blocking the entrance to the association's building.
