A large number of employees in several sectors carried out a sit-in in front of the main branch of a bank in al-Gemayzat, Tripoli, at the invitation of the trade unions and employees of Kadisha and Electricity du Liban, with the participation of the President of the Federation of Trade Unions and Employees in the North, Shadi Al-Sayed. Contract teachers carried out a sit-in in front of the Education Ministry with the participation of General Confederation of Lebanese Workers head Bechara al-Asmar who demanded that the teachers “shall have a social security that provides family allowances, school grants and transportation allowances.”
