Protestors carried out sit-ins in front of a number of banks in Tripoli to protest their implementation of Banque du Liban’s decision to pay salaries in dollars. They protest banks implementation of Banque du Liban’s decision to pay salaries in dollars. Banks are reportedly paying at the Sayrafa exchange rate, which prices the dollar at a higher value than that traded on the black market, causing a devaluation in salaries.
وطنية - طرابلس - شهدت مصارف عدة في مدينة طرابلس تجمعات واعتصامات احتجاجا على طريقة تنفيذ قرار مصرف لبنان القاضي بتسليم الموظفين رواتبهم بالدولار، وحيث عمدت المصارف الى تسديد الرواتب بسعر المنصة الذي يسعر الدولار بقيمة أعلى من تلك التي يجري التداول فيها في السوق الموازية، ما يؤدي الى الاقتطاع من قيمة الراتب بعد اعادة صرفه بالليرة اللبنانية لدى الصرافين، بالاضافة إلى تزويد الموظفين بدولار طباعة قديمة يطلب الصرافون بدلا عن صرف كل ورقة نقدية فئة المئة دولار اكثر من خمسة دولارات عمولة. ورفع المحتجون نداءات رفضت هذه التدابير التي تقتطع من رواتبهم ما يقارب الاربعمئة الف ليرة.
