On 18 Nov 15, the Lebanese Armed Forces raided the Gemmayzeh area in Achrafieh, Beirut and arrested 6 suspected Syrian Nationals. Raids also took place in Hamra area and several Syrian Nationals were also arrested. Media also reported that Security Forces also managed to arrest a Syrian National from the Al-Bchara family in Hamra. The man is allegedly one of the most prominent logistic leaders for the Al-Nusra Front. $40,000 were confiscated during his arrest and a woman was also arrested with him. |

Khaled Qassem Ajami, who was referred by the Army intelligence to the judiciary Friday, is a prominent leader in the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Abdullah Azzam Brigades, Al-Akhbar newspaper reported Saturday. According to the Lebanese daily, Ajami was ambushed by an army unit at his aunt's house in the southern Beirut suburb of Ouzai. The report stated that the Army obtained information on Ajami’s continuous visits to his aunt’s house, adding that he was under surveillance for several months before his arrest.
