NNA - A patrol from the Lebanese Army detained 22 Syrians at Swairi region in West Bekaa while trying to enter the Lebanese territories illegally accompanied by the Lebanese Jawad Khalil Janbey and the Syrian Mahmoud Riad Abou Bakr who were trying to smuggle them into Lebanon, a communiqué issued by the Amy Command- the Guidance Directorate said on Saturday. The communiqué added that armed persons fired at the Army patrol while carrying out its mission so they fired back; however, there were no casualties. NNA - The Lebanese Army Command, Orientation Directorate, announced in a statement on Friday: "Following information about the detention of Syrian citizens in the locality of Soueiry in West Bekaa, to ask for ransom from their relatives in return for their release, a military unit raided the residences of Lebanese Musa Rida Chouman and Ahmad Khaled Soumayli. Soldiers arrested Chouman, who was accompanied by four Syrians. Two cars used for trafficking operations were also seized." "18 Syrian nationals have been found at the home of Soumayli. On 22 Apr 16, the Lebanese Army said it arrested five people in an east Lebanon house raid suspected of smuggling Syrians into the country and holding them for ransom. وطنية - أصدرت قيادة الجيش- مديرية التوجيه البيان الآتي: "بتاريخه أوقفت قوة من الجيش في بلدة الصويري - البقاع الغربي، 4 مواطنين وفلسطينيا واحدا، لقيامهم بتهريب أشخاص سوريين من لبنان وإليه، إثنان منهم كانا يقومان برصد تحركات الجيش في جرد البلدة، كما أوقفت برفقتهم 29 سوريا، تم تهريبهم فجر اليوم إلى الداخل اللبناني، وقد ضبطت بحوزة المهربين مسدسا حربيا وكمية من الذخائر، بالإضافة إلى عدد من أجهزة الاتصال وسيارة ودراجة نارية من دون أوراق قانونية. وتم تسليم الموقوفين مع المضبوطات إلى المرجع المختص لإجراء اللازم". |
