NNA - The Lebanese Army Command, Orientation Directorate, announced in a statement on Friday: "Following information about the detention of Syrian citizens in the locality of Soueiry in West Bekaa, to ask for ransom from their relatives in return for their release, a military unit raided the residences of Lebanese Musa Rida Chouman and Ahmad Khaled Soumayli. Soldiers arrested Chouman, who was accompanied by four Syrians. Two cars used for trafficking operations were also seized." "18 Syrian nationals have been found at the home of Soumayli. On 22 Apr 16, the Lebanese Army said it arrested five people in an east Lebanon house raid suspected of smuggling Syrians into the country and holding them for ransom.
