ISF arrests two for forging PCR test results

The Internal Security Forces arrested two people for forging PCR test results, the ISF said in a statement Tuesday.

The two individuals forged PCR results issued by the Rafik Hariri University Hospital, that were already negative, by changing the names and dates of birth for people who did not undergo the test, according to the statement.

The two individuals, identified as Syrian nationals and born in 1993 and 1995, carried out the forgeries in exchange for sums of money ranging between LL40,000 and LL60,000 to help other Syrians flee Lebanon. 

The ISF seized around 14 forged PCR test results, in addition to 100 found on a mobile phone.

The two individuals who carried out the operation were referred to the judiciary, the ISF statement concluded.

Meanwhile, the General Security announced that Syrian nationals currently in Lebanon, either legally or illegally, could leave for Syria with their identification documents and a PCR test taken in the last 24 hours
