Investigations after body was found with gunshot wound in Dbayeh

Authorities in Dbayeh found the body of a man with a gunshot wound to the head morning, and were investigating whether the wound was self-inflicted, a security source told The Daily Star. The man was identified as 32-year-old A.F. His body was discovered on the sidewalk outside Dbayeh’s marina. Authorities also found a Mercedes reportedly belonging to the man around six meters away from the body. The body was later taken to a medical examiner, who determined that the bullet was fired at a range of around three centimeters, the security source added. The Daily Star could not independently confirm the medical examiner’s reported estimation. Authorities were reportedly working Friday to piece together the events of the incident.
