On 25 May 15, a garbage dump right across from Zouk Mkayel power plant, went up in flames due to the present heat-wave. fire fighters on board boats and civil defense fire Brigade workers, have been able to bring Zouk Mkayel fire under control with no immediate word as per damage or casualties
