NNA - A group of youngsters attacked today Mayor of Jouaya town in the south Hassan Ismail, and municipal police officer Rabih Qassem, after they vandalized the latter's car, National News Agency correspondent reported on Friday. The assault came following a series of clashes related to the last municipal elections in the town. Locals urged officials to interfere "before the situation deteriorates."
