The Internal Security Forces arrested three adults and two minors involved in a gang that carried out a series of break-ins and robberies in Zahle’s Barr Elias, a statement from the security agency announced Saturday.
The arrest of the suspected gang members - identified as Lebanese nationals I.H., born in 1995; I.S., born in 2002; M.D., born in 2001 and I.D., born in 1994, as well as Syrian national M.B., born in 1998 - was made.
The suspects allegedly admitted to breaking into houses and shops to commit robberies, as well as stealing motorbikes and selling them.
They were referred to the judiciary, while the police are working on arresting the rest of the gang.
