BEIRUT: Police returned to safety a young girl who was abducted when her mother’s car was stolen in south Lebanon on day before.

E.A., 6, was sitting in her mother’s Range Rover at Nabatieh Market on Saturday when an unidentified man jumped into the car and drove off.

The girl said the thief drove fast while she was in the car and dropped her off in a Bekaa town she did not know.

She said she was treated well and was not subject to abuse.

The child's mother, Dina Qanso, denied rumors that her ex-husband’s family might have been behind the incident.
