شفت شعبة العلاقات العامة في المديرية العامة لقوى الأمن الداخلي، أنّ "بتاريخ 26/08/2017، نشر أحد مواقع التواصل الإجتماعي مقطعاً لفيديو يظهر فيه قيام سيدتين بسرقة مبلغ من المال بطريقة إحتيالية من صندوق عائد لمحل تجاري بمنطقة الصفير في الضاحية الجنوبية".
وأشارت الشعبة في بلاغ، إلى أنّ "نتيجة للإستقصاءات والتحريات المكثّفة، وبالتنسيق مع صاحبة المحل الّذي تبيّن أنّه لبيع الـ"فوبيجو"، تمكّنت فصيلة برج البراجنة في وحدة الدرك الإقليمي من معرفة هوية الفاعلتين وتوقيف إحداهما، وهي: "م. ف." من مواليد عام 1972"، لافتةً إلى أنّ "التحقيق جار باشراف القضاء المختصّ والعمل جارٍ لتوقيف شريكتها".
