A woman and her 3-month-old child were found dead in south Lebanon, a security source told The Daily Star.
The woman and her baby were reportedly killed by repeated blows to the head. She has been identified as Haliba Nazer Shukr. She was a Bedouin and lived in the town of Deir Zahrani in Marjayoun. They were found near a river in the town of Bfaroueh in Nabatieh. The source said that her family filed a missing person report four days ago.
Shukr's husband, Kayed Mohammad al-Nouri, has been taken in for questioning by the southern division of the Internal Security Forces as part of the investigation into the deaths.
