Lebanese Army Intelligence seized firearms, ammunition and a large quantity of drugs from a four-wheel-drive vehicle in the eastern Beirut suburb of Fanar-Zeaitariyeh, a statement said Friday.
The army said the confiscated items included assault rifles, handguns, ammunition and military gear, as well as a large quantity of various drugs, narcotic pills of different colors, three drug scales, three identity cards, nine driver's licenses and some cash.
One man was arrested during the bust, the statement said.
The army is searching for more suspects.
