On 13 Aug 17, Lebanese Army Intelligence patrol was assaulted in Afqa-Jbeil by unidentified persons. The assault came after the patrol attempt to arrest a person from Al Zeayter. Lebanese Army member fired shots in the air to disperse the crowd and the patrol managed to arrest the person and in pursuit to arrest the assailants.
