Two Syrians including a child have required hospitalization after being attacked by a stray dog in a south Lebanon town, a security source said.
The source said one of the victims of the attack in Qana suffered injuries to the leg, while the other, a girl, was bitten in the face. The two were first moved to Qana’s public hospital and then to Nabatieh’s public hospital for treatment.
Attacks by stray dogs are becomming more common in the area, the source added.
The southern city of Tyre has also been suffering a long time problem with stray dogs. A vicious dog attack in a school courtyard injured 15 children in the city last October.
Residents have responded by hunting down the strays.
