The Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of two robbers in north Lebanon.

The ISF issued a statement describing the events of the arrest, beginning with a phone call they had received concerning a man’s Land Rover being broken into by two suspects in Tripoli.

A patrol was dispatched to the crime scene, where they managed to catch the suspects red-handed as they broke into a Mazda. One suspect attempted to run away and fired in the direction of the patrol. He then turned the gun to his head, threatening to commit suicide.

No injuries were reported as the police arrested 24-year-old Lebanese K.Aa, and 20-year-old A.M, whose nationality remains unknown.

Upon questioning, K.Aa confessed that A.M had broken the window of the car in order to steal the contents within. A.M was also revealed to have had priors related to theft through breaking and entering.

The ISF brought the original informant in, who confirmed that these were the two suspects stealing from his Land Rover.

They have been referred to the judiciary to stand trial.
