بتاريخ اليوم 5/1/2017 وفي محلة الحمراء، ونتيجة للتحريات والاستقصاءات المكثفة، تمكنت شعبة المعلومات من توقيف كل من : ر.غ (مواليد عام 1993)، ل.غ. (مواليد عام 1968) من التابعية الغانية، ج.غ (مواليد 1989)، وضبط بحوزتهم مبلغ 4950 دولارا اميركيا مزيفة (عبارة عن 4100 دولار اميركي من فئة المئة دولار و850 دولارا اميركيا من فئة الخمسين دولار)، بحيث كان قسم منها موضبا ومخبأ بطريقة مبتكرة داخل حقيبة كانت بحوزة ج.غ.
