بتاريخ 23/11/2016، وبناء لمعلومات توافرت لفصيلة عين زحلتا في وحدة الدرك الاقليمي عن قيام أشخاص مجهولي الهوية على متن سيارة نوع "ب أم" لون أسود تم تداول صورتها عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، بعدة عمليات ترويج عملة مزيفة في بعض قرى قضاءي عاليه والشوف.
على الفور، توجهت دورية من الفصيلة المذكورة الى ساحة عين زحلتا حيث مكان تواجد السيارة، وتمكنت من توقيف كل من:
ر.ض (مواليد عام 1973، لبناني)، م.ع (مواليد عام 1992، فلسطيني).
بتفتيش السيارة تم ضبط مبلغ 500 دولار أميركي مزيفة، وقد تبين أن (ر.ض) مطلوب للقضاء بجرم سرقة، كما يوجد بحقه مذكرة توقيف بجرم إحتيال وإنتحال صفة، وبحق (م.ع) بلاغ بحث وتحر بجرم ضرب وتسبب بإيذاء، تحرش، شتم وإهانة.
