State Security announced the arrest of two Lebanese for fraud and forgery in the Bekaa area, a security source told The Daily Star.

The two men in the east Lebanon region were arrested on separate occasions.

H.A. already had arrest warrants on him issued by investigative judges from both Bekaa and the South.

He was accused of carrying out fraud and forgery operations, and using a false identity.

Following an investigation, the police were able to apprehend his partner, H.M.

He, too, was arrested for fraud and forgery, as well as using void checks to seize real estate and property.

The source told The Daily Star that it is "expected" that there are more partners and accomplices.

"There's rarely ever a gang of just two people," the source said.
