Two arrested after dispute in Koura
The NNA reported that three men had been wounded in the dispute, with one in critical condition.
The wounded were reportedly transferred to hospitals in the area, while security forces began to investigate the incident to prosecute those responsible.
A security source told The Daily Star that the six men were from the Al-Tawk family, and that “the disagreement occurred Tuesday at midnight because of previous disputes regarding the distribution of land."
The source said that all of the men live in the same building, and that the dispute had evolved into shooting.
The wounded men were identified by the security source as Beshara, Rimon and Sharbel al-Tawk.
"Members from the Amioun security unit arrested two shooters out of the three [involved],” the source said, identifying the suspects as Farid al-Tawk and Hanna Youssef al-Tawk.
The security unit also reportedly “seized the weapon which the [suspects] used to fire at the wounded."
