On 22 Apr 16, truck drivers blocked a Mount Lebanon road for a second consecutive day to protest the closure of sand quarries. The Internal Security Forces' Traffic Management Center said on Twitter that the Kfardebian road remained blocked in both directions by the truckers. Later, a number of truckers also blocked a road in Ouyoun al-Siman to demand authorities allow them to access sand quarries at the site.
