August 19, 1985: Three Lebanese executives from the Central Bank (Banque du Liban)—André Cheaib, Iskandar Dib, and Jacques Germani—were abducted. That same day Lebanese Red Cross volunteers Alfred Kettaneh Jr. and Semaan Geadah were abducted in Barbir, West Beirut, with Semaan’s uncle Kamal Gadeah.
