Three brothers were arrested on suspicion of robbing a Bank Audi branch in Bhamdoun, the Internal Security Forces said. Police arrested the suspects in the Aley district town of Sawfar. All three were identified by the initials F.F., aged 42, 26 and 25.
The ISF said in a statement that the brothers are suspected of stealing $30,000 and LL40 million ($26,525). Police confiscated a pump-action shotgun, two handguns, an AK-47, a combat knife and ammunition. Two brothers stormed into the bank in Mount Lebanon, taking the money, while the third brother stood watch outside.
