The Internal Security Forces arrested car thieves attempting to drive off with a stolen vehicle in Jounieh.
Lebanese nationals H.H., born in 1985, and I.Y., born in 1972, were caught red-handed in Jounieh, trying to get away in a stolen Hyundai Grand i10.
Both suspects are allegedly part of a larger car theft gang, and admitted to stealing over 20 Hyundai vehicles from different areas in Mount Lebanon.
The ISF seized a gun found in the car, as well as $3,200 in cash, counterfeit license plates and a bag full of tools used to break into cars.
At the time of the arrest, the ISF also seized a stolen Hyundai Tucson that was being transported by the gang to Bekaa, to be smuggled into Syria from there.
