Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of a suspected robber in Beirut’s southern suburbs.

On Saturday, 23-year-old Aa.A broke into a house in Burj al-Barajneh, but police were able to arrest him that same night, according to the ISF statement.

Upon questioning, Aa.A confessed to robbing that house, in addition to abusing drugs. Police found pills, a forged L.L 100,000 ($66.67) bill, and the identification papers of the house’s owners on him.

Aa.A allegedly hid his stolen objects in a building still under construction, and upon searching it, police found several watches, cellular phones, women’s handbags and identification papers for other people.

The suspect was referred to the judiciary to stand trial.
