The Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of a man wanted on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization, in the Zahle town of Majdal Anjar.

The suspect, identified as Syrian national A.M., born in 1993, was arrested on Jan. 11 in the central Lebanon town.

Existing warrants out for the suspect’s arrest reportedly also include the crimes of transferring arms and ammunition, resisting arrest, kidnapping, forgery, shooting weapons and smuggling foreigners.

The investigation is ongoing, under the supervision of the judiciary.
